Is that a lift? W(hy)TF have I been working in my garage if you have a lift!?!

I can't help it if you missed some postings from my shop from the last 2.5 years...

First side almost done. A lot more work than it should be but the loaner compressor from Oreilly s does not fit the spring right so it is a real bitch compressing.

Changed plugs, air filter, oil and filter. Cleaned MAF sensor. Replaced the faux braided line on my PCV catch can (shit was 9 years old and caused you to bleed every time you touched it). Ran a switched power wire to the 100 amp relay under the hood so now I can get to rewiring the interior items to a fuse block in the cab. Started to run stainless leader line on the trailer side boxes to help support the lid when its open. I have a stainless eyehook at each end and the stainless leader line with a stainless turnbuckle in the middle. The extra crimps I ordered for it are too small so I only got one side done, ordered some new crimps to finish up this week some time. Then I can start packing those up with gear since they will be complete at that point.

I have to put one more zerk fitting on and grease them, test drive for a bit then rubber mallet the ujoints after they are heated up.

Rubber mallet the ujoints? That looks like a good day of work.

After you install, you don't know if joint is bound up. Just takes pressure off one side or another before they get fully broke in, they move freely when the driveline was off the truck, after I installed them and torque everything down I took the deadblow to all the joints, I will do it again after test drive, something I learned in auto mechanics back in high school days...

Well I derped when I replaced the shocks on my 4Runner. I put them back in like they were installed previously. I had somebody ask me if the tops of the shock was supposed to be facing forward instead of outboard like the lower shock mount. So tonight I pulled the tower out, rotated it to get it lined up right, and bolted it back in. I also tried to lower the shock adjusters about a 1/4" to see how much that lowers the front of the 4Runner. Hopefully getting the shocks installed properly will make these shocks and bushings last longer than the first set.

Sliders and front skid ordered. Decided to hold out on the rest of the skids for right now. I'll probably order them all in aluminum at the end of the year after our outage at work. Got the front skid in steel though. They said about 6 weeks and we leave for Arkansas 7 weeks from today so I'm hoping there's no delays. Would really like to have them in time for the trip.

Also ordered my +4" extended brake lines from Crown and my rear coil conversion from SSO. Still need to order my bump stops and rear coils.

Wish I could swap the seats over to mine. I love the interior of this thing. Brown perforated leather with AC in them. Super comfortable. Unfortunately it has the road noise and ride quality of a $20,000 car, not a $50,000 one. I'll stick with my GX. Tried to get them to give me an LX570 as a loaner but they said it was a bit out of the budget for loan cars lol.

That's Mr Asshole to you
Finally got around to lowering the front suspension a little so that I have a slight rake when unloaded and should be close to level when it's packed with gear.
Fawk it's hot outside. Going to find a pool for the rest of the day.

Dang Moog UBJ came without the boot and is almost 1/8" too large for the hole. So I am picking up the cheapest UBJ at Oreilly s that I can to get me by until I can install some OEM ones. Damn why can't this just be easy?

I've never had good luck with any Moog products for Toyotas. Seems like only their parts for domestic vehicles are with a damn.
