I have a screwed up back and I was thinking a transmission jack for car lifts would be really nice for these heavy shell thing biooches

I was in the process of doing the same when my buddys shop got seized by the sheriff. Now I need a new skid plate.

No idea why the OG ATO (Kevin) put the skid crossmember at the same exact location of the OE exhaust flange, but I can only assume it was an oversight because he was running a custom exhaust on his rig when he designed them. Told the new "ATO" to move it back 4" so it wouldn't keep happening. Saw some of the new ATO skids and I think they left them the same and then started using crappier hardware.... some people don't want to innovate I guess.?. Who knows what they have now - this was years ago.
ATO was bought out by 4xInnovations so it's their show now

I forgot who it was. I sent the main guy at 4x some tips/tricks to redesign Kevin's stuff so it worked better. Also discussed shackle flips with him in detail and supplied him some of my CAD drawings I was working on. They never listened concerning the skid plates and last I saw were making them with an even crappier design that wouldn't last past initial install let alone a few years worth of bashing rocks. Masses want to look cool and pay less, not actually have items that function and last. They hit the shackle flip spot on for my set up so I was happy with the time I spent on that.

Helluva nice shop fridge!!! Even nicer mover of said shop fridge.

Thanks! Took me almost a year to get the shop set up, still a work in progress but I'm getting there.

Going to link that axle for the SAS?

Not the first time around lol Just going to do RUF and 63s, keep it simple for the time being. I would love to link it but I can never seem to save enough cash for nice things like that :(

Got the torsion bars off last night. Of course the locknut was seized to the adjuster so had to cut it under tension, that was fun lol

The bumper was a rubix cube of bolts that were all seized on there, but managed to take off that and the skid plate last night.

Spent a couple hours fabbing a bracket for my aux fuse block but I just can't seem to get it how I want. Went through two iterations then ran out of steel. May try again tomorrow if there's time.

That's Mr Asshole to you
I turned a wrench on the Lexus today. Took out the passenger seat to pull up the carpet since it was wet under the floor mats. Like really wet. Turns out there is standing water under the carpet and pad. I suspect the it's from the AC evap drain is clogged since there was a service bulletin to fix it on my year car. Talked with the dealer and sent them video of the water. They were embarrassed they sold the car like that and are making it right.
Drove 4 hours to bring them the car and they gave me a new RX350 to drive while they fix my car.
I will say that North Park Lexus in San Antonio has been a class act with this.

What are you thinking for a bracket? The bracket and location on my 3rd gen has worked really well. It is in my build thread a few pages in. Will try to find the link when I get done on the hitch rack for the night.

Post a pic...I couldn't find it in your build thread but I'm also searching for it @ 2am (can't sleep).
I just tried to do a metal plate bracket with a BFH bend but I couldn't get the dimensions right. I should have mocked it up with cardboard first but it didn't SEEM that hard. It was either too long and hit that lunchbox ABS/brake booster combo or the bend wasn't sharp enough and it would sit too high on that plug by the under hood fuse panel.

I built this one, holds my SPOD, Blue Sea MLCR, and a large Kicker fuse holder. All the holes are tapped or have a nut-sert in them.

Also built one on top my battery mount. (older pic)

Another small one.. nut-serts in core support to mount it to.

I made good use of an old license plate.

Rock lights and bed lights are wired. Was planning to tackle the UCA but time and patience ran out. Tomorrow night! I have more lights for the behind the rear tire, don't anticipate needing them and will do those when we get back from the trip.

Shit... had a ever so slight little bit of play in the UCA. It appeared to be the bushings.. which was odd because I replaced them not so long ago.. maybe 2 years.. tops! Anyhow last time I replaced them I ordered 2 sets. So.. today I pulled the passenger side apart to replace the bushings. They appeared fine. Swapped in the new ones and same thing! I don't think its the Uniball (its also fairly new) as it feels tight. I "think" the large thick washers need to be replaced. 2 are snug as a bug on the long bolt and two have a fair amount of play. Upside is that I greased everything and topped off the front diff. When I get back from the trip I'll order new uniballs and all new mounting hardware.
