I think he was half that size the last time I saw him.

Got them suckers in 4wd mode!Rotated tires on my wifes runner. 5001 miles. Taught my boy about rotating tires and showed him the electric impact. He was timid at first but after a few lugs he was all about it.

On my wife's mustang the battery is in that location and it's sectioned off like that, but that looks like it has some vacuum lines or something covred in aluminum going to it in the picture above it.
Looks like air injection pump. Hot air not good for them.whats the deal with this area? This some kind of evap stuff? Ive never seen a semi closed off area besides for an intake

Sad. Personally the way I drive, Aluminum isn't my first choice. That's what caused my RTT to JUMP off the back of my truck while I was jamming down a canyon trail faster than I should have been going!!!Removed an $800 mistake from my 4Runner today. The Rocky Mountain Rack / Sherpa Matterhorn rack is now getting parted out. The crappy sides are going to the recycle bin and the crossbars are going to get saved for other projects. My sammich maker commented at how light and flimsy the sides were when we were taking it apart. Now I am just waiting for Tuesday to pick up the Prinsu rack and then some sunshine to install it.

I believe that is where the secondary air pump is. It forces air through the exhaust on cold starts, although not nearly as loud as the one on our Tundra.whats the deal with this area? This some kind of evap stuff? Ive never seen a semi closed off area besides for an intake

Definitely save those aluminum extrusions for another project! That stuff ain't cheap!!! I'm sure you'll find a great project to use it on in the future.Removed an $800 mistake from my 4Runner today. Sounds good!@MatthewMay1
I'm working from home so if you get stuck feel free to hit me up for a pic or question. If you can get that deep into it then you have the worst of it done.
