What have you done to your ride lately?

That was my method until the bike lock I bought freaking froze up from corrosion when I needed it to unlock and swap a tire out, but I'm in the salt belt. Also what I get for buying a POS combo bicycle lock from Kryptonite, not using a cable w/eyes and a good lock
Sorry to hear that.

Nice! Tacoma's look so much better without the damn fender flares.

I'm actually about to out them back o . Cant stand the look of the holes. Someday when I have it painted I'll have the holes filled in before paint. But for now, I think the flares look way better.

Oil change and front brakes done. I was going to do the rear pads as well but the dealer gave me pads for a Camry so I exchanged them and will get them changed before Colorado.
Original brakes lasted 82k miles and still had a little life left but not enough for me to feel good about them in the mountains. New setup is the Powerstop Z36 pads and rotors. Feel good so far.

That's my plan as well if I ever get my truck repainted.

Truck did awesome today on our short day trip up to Crossbar Ranch Offroad Park in Davis, OK. Will definitely be heading back there soon. There were parts of the park we couldn't access die to all the rain but we still saw quite a bit of it. It got a lot better as the day went on and the trails dried out more. No problems with all the work I did to the truck and the wheeling was just the workout the new coilovers needed to break in and really smooth out the ride. Completely happy with where the rig is right now. Just going to permamount the GMRS radio and antenna and start saving/looking for a good deal on a locker. Not sure ARB is the way I want to go this time. Probably going to look for a stock elocker axle or add a Harrop to the stock 8.4 diff.

How did the new tires do?

How did the new tires do?

I was more than happy with them. The large grooves between the lugs allowed them to clean out much better than the KO2s I had previously. I had no traction problems at all except in the wet sloppy shit where anything short of swampers is going to have problems. Everyone was sliding around at those points. The tires ride extremely smooth on the road. There is a bit more road noise than I was hoping for but it's nothing I cant live with. And both tanks I've tan through it so far have only showed a .5mpg drop from the 265s I had before. Still getting 16.5mog averaging 70-75mpg on the 285s.

Good to know! Yeah I've read they are a little loud on the road.

Ran by DT, had them do a 5 tire rotation and balance, the rep told me they do their 5 tire rotations by moving the tires clockwise, and I asked for this tire rotation seen below, I don’t like the idea of moving the drivers front tire over to the passenger front side because normally the front tire wear is far more on the shoulders because of the amount of turning.
No problem and a 2.5oz weight was the largest weight I saw installed so that’s a well balanced tires from the factory and wear.

The Taco and LX will be due soon as well.

Same thing happened to me 2 rotations ago and I told them I wanted the same rotation you posted. The guy seemed puzzled but wrote it down on my ticket and I watched them do it. I will stick to doing myself.

It’s mostly the tire balancing that I care about. But yeah he looked at the diagram for few minutes, I asked to chalk the tires for them and then the light bulb came on and I watched him mark each tire correctly, lol

I hit my 5000 mile mark on Sunday so I ordered some oil for an oil change/tire rotation. I’ll get that done soon and then I might get a new radiator later during the summer

Same here. I'd gladly rotate my own tires if I could balance them as well.

Never in my life have I had a tire re-balanced nor rotors cut. Maybe the lack of re-balance is why I only got 35k out of the tires on the Subaru...or was it the 15k rotations :BangHead:

I need to do much better. I used to cherish cars until about 8 years ago. Not sure what made me change my thinking.
