My cot suffered a catastrophic failure this weekend. Around 2AM as I went to bed I discovered that I had put the rain fly on backwards and therefor could not enter my tent. Sooo.. I decided to take it off.. well camp has these baseball sized rocks all over and I stepped on one in the dark.. caused me to fall over (I swear it had NOTHING to do with any beer I might have drank) and when I fell I tipped the cot over and bent one of the aluminum legs on the cot. Tent is fine, cot is a total write-off. FYI, this was the cot http://www.rei.com/product/721722/byer-maine-military-cot

I think I might get one of the Bass Pro Shops branded cots next. Seem a bit beefier.

What about a military cot from the local army surplus? Those things are hard to break.

That's my trend. But if something happens to the hammock I just bought, I'm gonna bust my ass hard.

Sean would fall out of a RTT when he was drunk. And probably break the ladder on the way down.
